In Acts 13:22 Paul quoted God as saying “I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart.” Is there any greater title in all of Scripture? It’s as if God looked at David and said, “If any human being embodied what I desire, it’s David.” And that is a fascinating attribute to give to a man who is responsible for one of the most notorious sins in all of scripture. Why was David called a man after God’s own heart? This series seeks to answer that question by investigating the life of Israel’s greatest king.
